Under the steadfast leadership of Dr. Shobha Rani VJ IPS,
the Ballari police department’s initiative, Jaagruth, surged forward with
renewed vigor. After successfully launching its initial phase focusing on
community engagement and crime prevention activities,
Dr. Shobha Rani V.J IPS, known for her unwavering dedication
and innovative approach, gathered her team with a clear vision and mission that
stated, “We’re not just here to enforce the law; we’re here to empower our
community through knowledge.”
The Genesis: Victim Talks
Under Dr. Shobha Rani V.J IPS leadership The Jaagruth cell
embarked on a multifaceted approach. They started with schools, colleges etc by
believing in the power of educating young minds. Officers of Police department
became a passionate educator at heart, led interactive sessions on safety,
cyber crime trends awareness, road safety awareness and respecting women and preserving
children with strong law enforcement. The students, soon warmed up as they
learned about their rights and responsibilities.
Impact of Victim Talks
The impact of Victim Talks rippled through
the city. Families became more vigilant about online activities, students
championed cyber security in their schools, and community digital awareness improved
through the awareness camps. The initiative became a symbol of unity,
empowerment. Live sessions helped in friendly policing.
